I haven't been posting on this blog recently but I've been busy on the writing front, getting practice in for my own gratification, to try and raise some awareness of cool/important issues of concern to me and as a warm up for future advocacy work under the EAPPI Scheme in Palestine (a fuller update on that soon).
As I try to cultivate my style I'm attempting to get at least one article out a month through various sites and publications. First up a couple that colleagues at Ceasefire Magazine have been gracious enough to upload over the last month or so
Firstly a piece that I wrote on the detained Saudi blogger, poet and activist Hamza Kashgari
http://ceasefiremagazine.co.uk/hamza-kashgari-saudi-arabia-human-rights/
For more info and opportunities to help check out http://www.free-hamza.com/?cat=11.
Secondly a review of the South Sudan Theatre Company production of Cymbeline at Shakespeare's Globe.

Please do take a look and feedback. Every comment helps! I want to do some more pieces on Gulf States and their relationship with the UK, the arms trade and the arts (especially music!), and quite possibly something more on Sudan and South Sudan too in the near future, especially as the first anniversary of separation approaches. Watch this space and in the mean time please do follow me on Twitter: @zenarchic
Peace
